Gifford has donated to numerous charities that help children including Childhelp and The Association to Benefit Children and Cassidy's Place. The two houses she named in honor of the two kids she raised were Cassidy's Place & Cody House. Her efforts to help others within the realm of employment relations has led to her receiving an honorary doctorate degree from Marymount University.
